Safety and Security
PROTECTION FROM INTRUDERS

The FBI's unified crime report states that almost 70% of all burglaries involve forced entry through a window or door. No matter what industry you're in, your business is susceptible to theft. Your merchandise, electronics, and other costly materials can all be stolen in a matter of minutes after a criminal gains entry. Sun Solutions Security Films help eliminate a burglars easiest access route - A broken window. In most burglaries, time is a key factor. With state of the art alarms and regular police patrols, a thief has to gain fast entry and grab his loot before being caught. By holding the broken glass together after impact, our security films will make access more difficult and dramatically slow down access inside, thereby costing the thief precious time and in most cases, deterring the robbery altogether.

BLAST RESISTANCE

When an explosion occurs, glass shatters and becomes airborne, causing devastation to anything in its path. The origin of the blast is surprisingly irrelevant - whether at the building itself or at a location several miles away, an overpressure is created, which can "blowout" windows and send glass flying at speeds up to 150mph. Because our security films are flexible and able to stretch, it can absorb a significant amount of the shockwave from and explosion. Ordinarily, the force would push the glass inward to the point of breaking, sending shattered glass flying throughout the buildings interior. With our security film installed, even after the glass breaks, the film is able to bend with the force of the shockwave. With the films heavy - duty adhesive, it holds the broken glass shards together, greatly reducing the risk of injuries and property damage.

PROTECTION FROM NATURAL DISASTERS

In the same way our films protect and save lives during a blast or explosion, its superior - retention properties are equally effective during storms or natural disasters. When tornados, hurricanes, high winds, hailstorms, ect. threaten the stability of a building, our film does its job by holding windows and glass firmly intact - away from people and property. Even large-scale facilities are susceptible to damage during violent weather or acts of nature. Once a window is shattered, the buildings integrity is unsecured. Then, anyone or anything inside can fall victim to harsh weather and damage resulting from exposure. One of our films' best features is that once installed, its 24 hour, year round protection, is ready for any unpredictable natural disaster or harsh weather that may occur.
